Spottswoode Estate 'Lyndenhurst' Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Spottswoode Lyndenhurst continues to be a perennial favorite of all the wineries that are producing sister labels or more approachable Cabernets in their portfolio. This 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet is predominately comprised of Spottswoode Estate fruit from their west St. Helena vineyard along with fruit that once again is coming from Knights Bridge Vineyard, Oakville Ranch, Darms Lane and Young Inglewood Vineyard. The newly released 2014 offers juicy, full-bodied notes of blackberries, black cherries with coffee and dark chocolate. More approachable than the Estate Cabernet, it is one of those wines that over-delivers at its respective price point.
