Spottswoode Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon 2013St. Helena

We visited the Spottswoode team a few weeks ago to taste this new vintage of Lyndenhurst and we absolutely loved the concentration and depth of flavor that this wine offers. A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, this second wine for Spottswoode is a great-buy Cabernet for the quality. Comprised of 73% estate fruit and the remaining coming from Oakville Ranch, Darms Lane, Young Inglewood and Knightsbridge in Napa Valley, this 2013 "exhibits the essence of Spottswoode, honoring its terroir and heritage. With its rich, red fruit characteristics and velvety tannins, it is a beautifully balanced wine to be enjoyed upon release".
