PerUs'Bryn' Napa Valley Red 2019- Special Priced 3-Pack
This 2019 Red, like in previous vintages, is seamless and multi-layered. Made in the style that has become winemaker Russell Bevan’s signature mark, it comes from the famed grower, Tench Vineyard in Oakville, and Sugarloaf Mountain, known for growing exceptional Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The goal when crafting this wine was to showcase the harmony that these two varietals highlight in each other. The Cabernet Sauvignon with all its power and purity of fruits is enhanced by the Merlot’s amazing mid-palate and richness. The Merlot with all its chocolate essence benefits from the Cabernets black berry and blueberry flavors. “The 2019 Bryn Proprietary Red has a full-bodied, round, mouth-filling style as well as ample ripe black cherry, chocolate, roasted herb, and bouquet garni-like aromas and flavors. It’s ripe and has great tannins as well as the balance to continue drinking nicely for 10-15 years.” -Jeb Dunnuck, 96 Points. 300 cases were produced.
2019 marks the seventh vintage for PerUs and Russell Bevan continues to make singular, focused wines as their winemaker. “A serious student of wine most of his adult life, Russell first made his mark as a writer with a syndicated column published in Wine Spectator. In 2004, Russell stepped away from the typewriter and into the vineyard, to begin making memorable wines and joining an elite group of winemakers who have received Robert Parker's 100-point score. Russell's Tin Box is the only wine from the 2011 vintage to garner that accolade, and his last three vintages have each received the coveted 100-point score.” One of Napa Valley's most skillful winemakers, Russell cites Philip Togni and Greg LaFollette as mentors. PerUs sparks Russell's natural exuberance: “This is an amazing convergence of gifted people, offering a chance to learn and be inspired by the some of the best people in wine.”
