Massican'Annia' White 2020- Special Priced 3-Pack
This is one of our favorite Whites and it sells out each year long before the next vintage release. So, I would get on the Massican ‘Annia’ bandwagon soon before it once again, sells out. This is the flagship White from Massican and the new 2020 Annia is comprised of 61% Tocai Friulano, 27% Ribolla Gialla and 12% Chardonnay from Napa Valley. Winemaker Dan Petroski harvests each varietal separately in neutral French oak and stainless steel and then blends just before bottling. The two Italian varieties in the wine build the aroma and flavor profile while the Chardonnay adds to the wine’s structure. Melon and peach blossom jump out of the glass and they are balanced by some green apple and pear aromas. The acidity builds up to the long crisp finish. Like the 2019, this newest offering is one of the most inviting, unique and total refreshing Whites coming from California today.
At Massican, vintner and winemaker Dan Petroski shares his pursuit and love of unique and memorable white wines. Inspired by his roots in Italy, the Massican wines are made in Napa Valley while bringing the refreshing, bright style of Mediterranean white wines to California winemaking. In California Dan cultivates six white wine grape varieties in and around Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Four of the grape varieties trace their origins to Italy – Tocai Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Bianco and Greco. Two of the grape varieties, although no strangers to Italy, are more widely known throughout the world – Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. These are must-try Whites that will deliver freshness with complexity and pure enjoyment to the palate.
