LaRueSonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2018- Special Priced 3-Pack

We LOVE this Pinot Noir from Katy Wilson’s, vintner/winemaker of LaRue. It has been a long time since we last brought in her wine. In fact, it was the 2015 vintage, and she has come a long way from producing good Pinot Noir to great Pinot Noir in just a few short vintages. This 2018 comes from Katy’s favorite grower vineyards in Sonoma Coast- Rice-Spivak, Thorn Ridge and Emmaline Ann. As winemaker for Kamen and Reeve, and in the past for Flowers Winery, Katy is good friends and partners in some projects with Ross Cobb of Cobb Wines, which gives her the ability to work with these top-notch growers. “Opening up with aromas of raspberry, black cherry, and dried plum, this fruit forward wine is balanced by notes of crème de cassis, turned earth and baking spices. The palate is rich and mouth-filling with flavors of strawberry, cranberry preserves, and orange rind. Hints of violets, vanilla, and cocoa lead to a lasting and smooth finish.” The only downside is that she only produced 125 cases.
