It’s great to once again offer Bob Kamen’s Cabernet Sauvignon from his estate vineyard. In 1980, Bob came to Sonoma to celebrate the sale of his first screenplay, The Karate Kid. While hiking the rugged hillsides of the Southern Mayacamas Mountains, he came upon a piece of property with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. It was remote, rugged, and didn’t have any water or electricity supply when Bob first bought the land. Tucked into the Mayacamas Mountains in Sonoma with elevation ranging between 1100-1450, Mark Herold has been making Kamen since their inaugural 1999 vintage and Phil Coturri has been farming the estate property from the beginning. “A core of ripe black-raspberries, wild blackberries, black currants and freshly picked cherries anchor the aromatic profile.
