Sine Qua NonEleven Confessions Estate Grenache 2017- Library Offering

"The 2017 Grenache Eleven Confessions Vineyard reveals a gorgeous perfume of assorted red and blue fruits as well as iron, ground pepper, Asian spices, and herbes de Provence. Based on 88.7% Grenache, 10.6% Syrah, and the rest Viognier, this full-bodied, ultra-fine, deep, layered Grenache is just about as good as it gets. Drink it any time over the coming 10-15 years." -Jeb Dunnuck
Sine Qua Non is one of the most sought-after and cult-status wineries in the world, known for its rare, Rhône-style wines crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Founded by Manfred and Elaine Krankl in California, SQN is celebrated for its ever-changing blends, artistic labels, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Each vintage is a unique expression of creativity, making their wines nearly impossible to find and highly coveted by collectors.
In the mid-2000s, Manfred shifted toward estate-grown fruit, planting their own vineyards—most notably Eleven Confessions in the Sta. Rita Hills, followed by The Third Twin in Los Alamos and others. This move allowed them greater control over farming practices and quality, further refining their signature style. Today, nearly all SQN wines come from their estate vineyards, marking a shift from their early days of vineyard sourcing to a more self-sustained and terroir-driven approach.
