Château Duhart-Milon‘Moulin de Duhart’ Pauillac 2022
Acquired by the Rothschild family in 1962, the château lies directly beside Château Lafite-Rothschild, sharing the same prized soils of fine gravel, limestone, and sand. ‘Moulin de Duhart’ is the second wine of Château Duhart-Milon, capturing Pauillac’s character in an earlier-drinking style. The wine is a blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, macerated for 10 days to extract flavor and texture, then aged 12 months in seasoned French oak. Aromas of graphite, vanilla, and plum skin lead into a dense mid-palate framed by delicate tannins and a long, elegant finish. If you’re going to open now, you should give it a generous decant.
