Dalla Valle Maya Red 2012Oakville

Despite all the new wines I taste each year, Dalla Valle's flagship Red is still one of my favorites. Winemaker Andy Erickson blended what is now an incredible Maya 2012- it is a blend of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. "The 2012 Maya is already revealing great complexity with notes of forest floor, licorice, truffles, red and blackcurrants and a hint of graphite. The beautiful aromatics are followed by an equally majestic, full-bodied, multidimensional wine of great class and elegance.
