Bryant 'Bettina' Proprietary Red 2017- Special Priced 3-Pack - K. Laz Wine Collection

With fruit from David Abreu’s Madrona, Thorevilos and Las Posadas vineyards, the 2017 Bettina Red brings three distinct terroirs together in harmony. Freshness and iron notes of Madrona intertwine with blue fruits and minerality of Thorevilos, which in turn coalesce with camphor and bold tannin of Las Posadas to form a brooding and beautiful conglomeration of balance and provocation. The blend for this new vintage is comprised of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. "Very deep purple-black colored, the 2017 Bettina Bryant Proprietary Red is a little youthfully subdued to start, soon unfurling to display notes of dark chocolate, fertile loam, beef drippings and wild mushrooms over a core of creme de cassis, plum preserves, wild blueberries and Morello cherries plus a waft of underbrush. Full-bodied, the palate bursts with bold red and black fruit notes, framed by firm, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long and perfumed." 450 cases were produced.

Since their first vintage in 1992, they have been working with David Abreu as their vineyard manager with Michel Rolland as their consulting oenologist. KK Carothers is leading their winemaking team and was an intern with Bryant a few years prior.
