Brilliant Mistake Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

This newly released 2015 offering comes from vintners John and Stacy Reinert. The head of winemaking for all of Philippe Melka’s Atelier Melka is Maayan Koschitzky and this 2015 vintage marks his second vintage making wine for Brilliant Mistake. Lush and velvety, this full-bodied Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes entirely from Rutherford and shows “dark aromas of spiced plums, blackberries, mocha and cassis. Its powerful and lush complexity is equally evident on the palate, where the wine is at once enchanting and exhilarating. The layers of complex flavors reveal themselves with time in the glass, dancing between bright fruit and dark vanilla/caramel tones with powerful yet smooth tannins to create a layered wine with a long finish.” – Maayan Koschitzky, winemaker
