With Paul Hobbs as the winemaker overseeing Black Cordon, it is no wonder that this is a richly concentrated, well-made Chardonnay. Flavors of roasted pear, stone fruit compote, baked piecrust and a hint of wet stones immediately glide onto the palate while also offering excellent acidity and a finish that is very long, full and ripe, with a lingering impression of creamy lemon tart. 220 cases were produced.
