Realm Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Napa Valley

Last month Juan Mercado poured this outstanding vintage of his Farella Vineyard 2013 Cabernet at our K. LAZ Vintner Tasting and it was showing incredibly well. Coming from Napa Valley’s Coombsville AVA, this is one of the best Cabernets being produced from this renowned vineyard. Dark, succulent thistle fruit like blackberry and raspberry dominate the palate with firm structure and a long, lingering finish. Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Realm’s Farella Vineyard Cabernet continues to be one of my favorites. We’ve recently enjoyed a few older vintages and they’ve been among the best wines we’ve tasted in different Cabernet line-ups.
