The Paring Sauvignon Blanc 2014

This 2014 from winemaker Matt Dees is a great-drinking, delicious Sauvignon Blanc that offers notes of citrus fruit, lemon grass and bright acidity. It was aged partly in new and neutral French oak and stainless steel. It offers a touch of weight in the glass but is lively and drinks easily on its own or with food. Matt Dees is a great winemaker and used to split his time making Screaming Eagle and Jonata before concentrating solely on the vineyards in Santa Barbara – Jonata, The Hilt and now The Paring. It is almost unheard of to find such a talented winemaker making wine at the price.
