'Beckstoffer Georges III' Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 – 750ml

Krutz 'Beckstoffer Georges III' Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 - K. Laz Wine Collection

The 2016 Krutz Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard marks the inaugural vintage bottling from this renowned single vineyard located in Rutherford AVA. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in French oak for 23 months, 75% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it springs from the glass with exuberant notions of warm cassis, Black Forest cake, plum preserves and blueberry compote with fragrant wafts of violets, menthol and chocolate box. Full-bodied and decadently fruited, with a wonderfully plush texture, it has bags of spicy black fruit flavors and a very long finish. Krutz Family Cellars was founded in summer of 2003 in Monterey County when Patrick Krutz produced sixty cases of wine. The idea was to purchase a ton of grapes a year in order to produce a small amount of wine for family and friends. However, demand soon changed that plan and Krutz Family Cellars continues to grow in an effort to supply that demand. In 2011 Bryan and Cole Krutz joined their brother Patrick as owners and Krutz Family Cellars is now a family owned winery located in Sonoma County and produces this one Cabernet coming from Napa Valley. 300 cases were produced. 97 Points, Wine Advocate
