Fortunate Son Cabernet Sauvignon 2012Napa Valley

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that Hundred Acre’s vintner and winemaker Jayson Woodbridge made is top-notch. I’ve tasted this a few times at tastings we’ve hosted and it has been one of the best wines showing in the line-ups. Full-bodied, with those classic Hundred Acre layers, I actually think this 2012 has more complexity and layers of dark red fruit with cassis than any vintage he’s produced. For this wine, Jayson sourced from his vineyards in St. Helena, Howell Mountain and Calistoga to make this very enticing Cabernet. – January 2016
