Ancillary's Sun Chase Vineyard delivered only the best to the bottle this year. Strikingly complex & rich, this beautifully proportioned Pinot Noir delivers an initial burst of red berry fruit with notes of red and black licorice. From there the wines quickly gains traction and depth, with firm, layered tannins that give the spicy berry flavors a perfect foundation. While Mike Smith might be most known for his perfect score efforts at Carter Cellars, Myriad and McGah, he also makes great Pinot Noir. In partnership with Mark Carter of Carter Cellars, Ancillary has been a Pinot we’ve been supporting since their first vintage which was 2012.
